Morecambe defender Aaron McGowan is attracting interest from several clubs higher up the football pyramid after catching the eye at the Globe Arena, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
McGowan has been earning rave reviews for Morecambe this season, following a number of standout performances for the Shrimps, with the youngster displaying all of the attributes needed in a modern-day full-back.
The versatile performer, who is the club's youngest ever debutant having made his senior bow as a 16-year-old in 2013, is regarded as one of the best young talents in the Football League.
The powerful, athletic defender is tipped for big things by Morecambe boss Jim Bentley and McGowan was recognised for his talents by being named North West Young Player of the Year last season.
McGowan, who can play at right-back or left-back, has made 15 appearances for the Shrimps this season and the club are aware of the growing interest in the robust defender.
The 19-year-old is out of contract next summer and Morecambe are bracing themselves for interest in McGowan when the transfer window re-opens in January.
