Alan Shearer and Michael Owen react on Twitter to Newcastle win

Newcastle United won 1-0 against Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League this afternoon.

Alan Shearer has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s narrow win against Bournemouth away from home this afternoon.

Newcastle returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Ayoze Perez’s goal in the 27th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Newcastle legend Shearer was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the victory.

Former Newcastle striker Michael Owen was also watching the match, and this is what he made of the Magpies' win:

As Shearer’s tweets suggest, Newcastle did not play well and Bournemouth were the better team.

Goalkeeper Rob Elliot was the star of the show for the Magpies, as he made saves after saves between the posts.

At the end of the day, three points are all that matter, and Newcastle will be happy that they got just them in Bournemouth.

The win has lifted Steve McClaren’s side out of the Premier League bottom three for the time being.
