Idris Kanu and Declan Rice react on Twitter to West Ham U21 win

Idris Kanu and Declan Rice featured for the West Ham United Under-21 side on Monday.

Idris Kanu has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at making his debut for the West Ham United Under-21 side on Monday evening.

Kanu is only 15 years of age, but he was deemed good enough to play for the Hammers’ U21 team against their Brighton & Hove Albion counterparts away from home.

The youngster gave a good account of himself, as Terry Westley’s side won 2-1.

Following the match, schoolboy Kanu took to Twitter to revel in his achievement.

Declan Rice made his first Under-21 start for West Ham against Brighton, and he, too, was overjoyed.

West Ham are a big club in London and have one of the best academies in England.

The Hammers fans must be proud that there are a number of young and talented players in the youth team.

The senior side are doing well, too, and could end up in the top four of the Premier League by the end of the season.
