Forestieri joined Wednesday from Watford during the summer transfer window, and he has already realised that the competition for places in the Owls' line-up is fierce.
With the likes of Joao and Nuhiu also going for a place up-front, Forestieri realises that his standards cannot drop, and he believes that the pair have made him raise his game.
“Lucas is a big talent, Atdhe Nuhiu is a big talent too and that makes me train even harder," he said. “Every single training we need to show the coach who is ready to play on the Saturday, so for me the competition is good."
Forestieri has made an excellent start at Wednesday, and despite the depth to their squad he has still broken into the line-up.
The agile Argentine presents them with a different option to the rest of their striking ranks, with Joao's and Nuhiu's strengths lying in their power.
Forestieri scored his second goal in six appearances for Wednesday in their most recent outing against Hull City, which they drew 1-1.
The Owls are currently stationed in ninth place in the Championship table, and they have a game against Queens Park Rangers to look forward to this evening.
