Celtic’s Nadir Ciftci makes a confident claim

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment.

Celtic forward Nadir Ciftci has told The Scottish Sun that his side are now favourites to win the Scottish Premiership title this season.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Bhoys from Dundee United in the summer transfer window, made the comments following the 1-0 victory over Motherwell away from home in the Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Ciftci’s goal in the 15th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at Fir Park.

Celtic are at the top of the Premiership table at the moment with 26 points from 11 matches, two points clear of second-place Aberdeen.

“We have a gap at the top of the league now, and I think it will be difficult for teams to catch us,” Ciftci told The Scottish Sun. “With the squad we’ve got here, we should be at the top. That’s what we are concentrating.”

Celtic have the best squad in the Scottish Premiership, and after an indifferent start to the season, they appear to have taken control.

The Hoops have won the league title in Scotland for the past four seasons, and they now look set to make it five in a row.
