Liverpool teenager Lloyd Jones comments on Mamadou Sakho's performance

The young Liverpool player was clearly impressed with his more senior teammate.

Young Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones has taken to Twitter to have his say on Reds centre-back Mamadou Sakho’s performance in the Merseyside derby.

Jones is currently on loan at Blackpool and will remain at the League One club for the whole season having initially joined back in July, but the 19-year-old is clearly keeping a close eye on what is happening with his parent-club.

Liverpool took on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon and after Danny Ings had opened the scoring for the Reds, in-form Toffees striker Romelu Lukaku struck to ensure the clubs finished the match with a point apiece.

Sakho had a tough match up against the Belgian international in a tussle that could continue for the next few years, and while the French international gave as good as he got, Lukaku still had the last laugh by scoring the vital equalising goal.

Jones is a young player who will be hoping to one day emulate Sakho and potentially even play alongside him if everything goes according to plan, and he will have no doubt learnt a lot from watching him against Everton this weekend.

Writing on social media, the Liverpool youngster said quite simply, “Sakho is a beast.”

He certainly is and on this evidence he cannot be dropped by Liverpool's new boss even if changes are made.
