Tottenham player ratings vs Monaco: Alli and Lamela shine again

Spurs shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with the Ligue 1 side in the Europa League earlier tonight.

Hugo Lloris: 5/10

The Frenchman wasn't at his usual secure best tonight and should have done better for the Monaco equaliser. Was fortunate to get away with fumbling two rebounds.

Keiran Trippier: 5/10

Most of Monaco's threat came from crosses from Spurs' right flank and the former Burnley man struggled to contain the pace of Thomas Lemar first, and Stephan El Shaarawy late on.

Toby Alderweireld: 6/10

Handled the threat of the giant Lacina Traore well and looked composed throughout.

Jan Vertonghen: 6/10

Another solid display from the Belgian. Also handled Traore well and made a great clearance to spare Lloris' blushes after he palmed a strike towards the on-rushing attacker.

Danny Rose: 5/10

Also made a fantastic late block to deny Monaco the lead but was poor with his final ball and was lucky not to concede a penalty for upending Bernardo Silva.

Eric Dier: 5/10

Tonight saw a slight dip in standards for a man who has started the season on fire. Wasn't as precise in possession as usual and failed to get a grip on the game once Monaco took over in the closing stages.

Dele Alli: 7/10 MOTM

Once again displayed the flair and drive that has earned him his first senior England call up. Manages to couple his raw athleticism with sublime technique and bamboozled the Monaco defence in the penalty area on several occasions.

Erik Lamela: 7/10

Another solid outing for the Argentine who seems to have finally turned a corner at Spurs. Got the move for the first goal going with a great bit of skill in his own half, and somehow made it into the box to tap into an empty net, after Alli's shot was blocked. (Substituted for Clinton N'Jie on the 65th minute)

Christian Eriksen: 5/10

It was a quiet night for the talented Dane who struggled to exert his influence on the game over the 90 minutes. (Substituted for Tom Carroll on the 90th minute)

Nacer Chadli: 4/10

It's a similar story for the Belgian, was involved in the odd nice build-up play but was generally marshalled well by Fabinho. (Substituted for Andros Townsend on the 70th minute )

Harry Kane: 5/10

The 22-year old had to endure another night of frustration in front of goal. Worked tirelessly as usual but failed to find the net with two clear goalscoring opportunities.

Clinton N'Jie: 6/10

Looked bright when he came on and would have been through on goal were it not for a tight offside call. Mauricio Pochettino may have missed a trick by not starting him.

Andros Townsend: 5/10

Brought fresh legs to the Spurs attack but couldn't affect the game a great deal as Monaco took over in the final stages.

Tom Carroll: N/A
