Ronny Deila says Celtic can exploit Fenerbahce weaknesses

The Celtic manager has been looking ahead to their next match.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has been speaking prior to his side’s Europa League match against Fenerbahce later this week, with his comments later published by the Bhoys’ official Twitter account.

Celtic drew 2-2 with Ajax earlier this month and a victory against the Turkish side would set the Bhoys up brilliantly for the remaining matches in Group A.

Fenerbahce may currently be bottom of the group after losing 3-1 to Norwegian side Molde but they have the players to cause Celtic all sorts of problems, with Nani, Robin van Persie and Lazar Markovic all currently on their books.

That may be the case, but Deila believes he has identified weaknesses in the Turkish side’s game that he will be hoping his Celtic players can benefit from on Thursday evening.

“They have a lot of quality players and are a good team when they play at their best,” Deila said, “but we’ve also seen weaknesses we’re hoping to exploit.”

If Celtic can do that it would be a great boost as they look for both European success and more domestic honours, but for that to happen, Deila’s defence will have to be at its best against some of very famous and dangerous attackers.
