Kevin Phillips has left his role at Premier League outfit Leicester City and has teamed up with Paul Clement at Derby County.
Derby County fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the appointment of Kevin Phillips as the assistant coach.
Phillips has left his coaching role at Leicester City and has teamed up with Paul Clement, who was appointed the Derby head coach in the summer.
The 42-year-old is regarded as one of the best strikers in the English game, having scored 285 goals in 660 games during a 20-year playing career.
The former England international retired from the professional game in 2014, and he could prove to be a good addition to the Derby coaching staff.
The Rams did not make a great start to the 2015-16 Championship campaign, but at the moment they are showing signs of a team who are coming together.
Derby have won their last two Championship games, defeating Preston North End 2-1 away from home before getting the better of Reading 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Following the announcement of Philips’ appointment, Derby fans took to Twitter to have their say.
