Tony Fernandes comments on Twitter after defeat to Forest, QPR fans respond

Queens Park Rangers suffered a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Loftus Road in the Championship on Saturday.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Nottingham Forest at home on Saturday afternoon.

Rangers suffered a 2-1 loss to Dougie Freedman’s Forest at Loftus Road in the Championship.

After a goalless first half, the London outfit took the lead in the 65th minute when Charlie Austin found the target from 20 yards.

Forest staged a strong comeback thereafter and equalised 10 minutes later through Henri Lansbury.

Goalkeeper Robert Green had been sent off for bringing down debutant Chris O’Grady inside the QPR penalty box, and midfielder Lansbury made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Nelson Oliveira wrapped up the points for Forest eight minutes from time with a cool finish from close range.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Loftus Road, QPR had 48% of the possession, took nine shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners.

Following the defeat, Rangers chairman Fernandes took to Twitter to express his disappointment, with the club’s fans responding to his comments.
