West Ham United will face Newcastle United at home in the Premier League on Monday evening.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has told a follower on social networking site Twitter that Dimitri Payet is available to feature against Newcastle United at home on Monday evening.

Gold has stated that the 28-year-old attacking midfielder is training with the first-team squad, and that he is available for selection against the Magpies at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League clash.

Payet has been superb for West Ham so far this season and has been arguably the Hammers’ best player.

The France international, who joined the Hammers from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille in the summer transfer window, has scored one goal and created nine chances in four Premier League appearances.

Payet has a pass accuracy of 80%, and has won one header, 10 dribbles and three tackles.

Slaven Bilic’s West Ham side are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with six points from four matches.
