Celtic fans react on Twitter after Aberdeen loss, slam the defence including Efe Ambrose and Tyler Blackett

The Bhoys fans were furious with the performance of their defenders today.

Celtic’s season took a disappointing turn today as they lost 2-1 to perhaps their biggest rivals for the Scottish Premiership title Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

The Bhoys led the game 1-0 after a1 penalty from Leigh Griffiths in the first half but Aberdeen came out in the second half in top form.

They win the game 2-1 after Adam Rooney converted a penalty and Paul Quinn touched home a Niall McGinn free-kick to give Aberdeen the win, despite being reduced to ten men after winger Johnny Hayes received a red card.

It was a performance that left Celtic fans worrying in their first game since star defender Virgil van Dijk left the club. The club’s defence was certainly one massive area of concern among the fans.

At the end of the game the team was lining up with Efe Ambrose, Dedryck Boyata, Charlie Mulgrew and Tyler Blackett at the back.

The Celtic faithful have not been impressed with Ambrose for a while now, meanwhile Boyata is yet to win over all of his doubters since a summer move from Manchester City. Mulgrew had a poor game and Blackett, a summer loan signing from Manchester United, did not impress on his debut.

There was no doubt after the game that Celtic fans were not impressed with the back four that finished the game at Pittodrie this afternoon…
