The England under-20 winger could be set to join Adam Armstrong at the club.

Coventry City are hoping to tie down a loan move for Liverpool attacker Ryan Kent this week, according to reports.

The Coventry Telegraph are claiming that Coventry are keen on the teenager, as the loan window opened earlier today.

His arrival would be a good piece of news for Coventry. They are reeling from the news that James Madddison will be out for several months after suffering a serious ankle injury.

Why you'd be foolish to write Celtic off next season

That is not the only news from Coventry regarding Premier League interest. They already have Adam Armstrong on loan at the club from Newcastle United and currently have another Newcastle lad at the club ahead of a prospective loan move.

The player in question is Alex Gilliead.

The 19-year-old attacker has been training at Coventry City’s Ryton training facility for the past two weeks and with the loan window open they can make a move for the player now should they decide to bring him in.

He is an England under-20 international, like Newcastle team-mate Armstrong, who would certainly be of help to Coventry this campaign if a deal can be agreed.
