Scotland fans react on Twitter to Steven Fletcher performance in Georgia

The Sunderland striker had a poor game in Tbilisi.

Scotland’s hopes of qualifying for the European Championships in France took a hammer blow last night as they were downed 1-0 in Georgia.

They lost the game courtesy of a Valeri Qazaishvilli goal in the 38th minute and in all honesty Scotland never really looked like threatening, with their striker Steven Fletcher in the firing line for fans.

The Sunderland frontman had a poor game in Tbilisi and has not exactly ever won over the Scotland fans in recent times.

He has never performed at his best in a Scotland shirt and the fans were thoroughly disappointed to see him in the starting XI ahead of Celtic star Leigh Griffiths.

He has one goal this season for Sunderland, netting on the opening day against Leicester City, but overall his form for the Black Cats has been poor this term, and in recent times his shooting boots have gone missing.

But his overall game was bad, as he failed to bring other players into the game and struggled to have any major involvement.

Scotland fans have clearly had enough and many of them have taken to Twitter, calling on Fletcher to no longer be the number one Scottish striker…
