The Excelsior winger has joined Leeds on Deadline Day.

Leeds United have confirmed the signing of 22-year-old Excelsior winger Jordan Botaka on a two-year deal, according to the club's official website.

Leeds signed Stuart Dallas earlier this summer but the need for another new winger saw United chase up further targets heading into Deadline Day.

And Botaka is the target the Whites have settled on, with the wide man joining Leeds on a two-year deal and being delighted to do so.

Indeed, the young winger has explained why he swapped Excelsior for Leeds, suggesting that the size of United as a club was too big to turn down. And everyone he spoke to only had good things to say about the Yorkshire club, according to the 22-year-old.

He told the official Leeds site: "I am very happy, it happened very fast. In two or three days everything was arranged, it was just crazy.

"I knew Leeds were a big club. I looked a few things up and I heard from other people. This is a new adventure for me."

Will Botaka succeed at Elland Road?

It's a good time to be joining Leeds, with Chris Wood's stunning late winner at Derby County putting a very good spin on their season so far. Indeed, Uwe Rosler's men are now unbeaten in the Championship after earning their first win - and they did it all despite a grueling schedule.

After the international break, the Leeds squad can now return refreshed. And with a new winger in their ranks, too.
