HITC Sport understands that former Arsenal youngster is on his way to the City Ground
Kyle Ebecilio has opted to join Nottingham Forest on-loan for the season, rejecting moves to the Premier League, HITC Sport understands.
The 21-year-old interested a host of clubs from the Premier League and Championship, but in the end there were three offers on the table.
Both Everton and Swansea were willing to offer him a route back to the top-flight, after he spent most of youth career with Arsenal – before deciding to leave for Twente.
However, Ebecilio knows the offer of first-team football at the City Ground was too good to turn down – so has opted to make the move to join Dougie Freedman’s squad.
Ebecilio – who has scored 10 goals in his 59 league appearances for Twente over the past two seasons – is due in England for his medical in the next 24 hours, after which point his signing should be confirmed.
The news is a major boost after Forest’s decision to keep Henri Lansbury, as confirmed by owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi via his twitter account.
