Darren O'Dea reacts on Twitter to John Collins comments

Do Celtic face enough competition in the Scottish Premiership?

Former Celtic defender Darren O'Dea has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the controversial comments from John Collins.

Celtic assistant manager Collins was recently quoted as saying by The Scotsman that clubs in Scotland are not clever enough or quick enough to punish the Bhoys.

O'Dea is not pleased with the comments and has made the following post on Twitter in response.

Many would suggest that Collins’ comments about Scottish teams are disrespectful, but there is truth in them.

There is a reason why Celtic have won the Scottish league title for the past four years, and why they are going to clinch it yet again this season.

The Hoops simply do not face enough competition domestically, and that is the main reason why the Scottish Premiership title is a one-horse race.

Celtic’s failure to take Europe by storm owes much to this lack of competition in the Premiership.

It is not always easy to win against good teams when week after week one is used to facing mediocre sides.
