Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry set for Hawthorns loan move; good addition for West Brom?

Arsenal prospect Serge Gnabry is on the verge of a loan move to West Brom.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry is set to join West Brom on loan.

The 20-year-old German youth international is yet to make a real impact at the Emirates and, with first-team opportunities limited, he will hope a move to the Hawthorns will give him the chance to feature regularly in the Premier League.

The Mail suggest he is expected to join on loan until January with an option to extend his stay with the Baggies until the end of the season.

Is he a good addition for West Brom?

Gnabry is a player who possesses fantastic potential but he has found himself hampered by injuries throughout his time at the Emirates - much like several of his Arsenal team-mates.

Nonetheless, the new five-year contract he was awarded, plus his nomination for the Golden Boy Award for Europe's best young player for the 2013/14 season, proves just how highly he is rated by his peers.

Having made 14 first-team appearances, including nine in the league and two in the Champions League, the season before last, he displayed his ability to adapt to the Arsenal senior set-up.

Meanwhile, he offered a level of flair and creativity similar to that of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - highlighted by his decisive goal in the Gunners' 2-1 win over Swansea.

The 20-year-old is a somewhat raw talent but that will make him an exciting addition for Tony Pulis's side.
