Rangers fans react on Twitter as Jason Holt becomes latest Ibrox arrival

Rangers have snapped up midfielder Jason Holt after a successful trial.

As seen above, Rangers have confirmed the arrival of midfielder Jason Holt on a three-year contract after a successful trial period.

The 22-year-old, whose Hearts contract expired earlier this summer, recently arrived on trial at Ibrox, and has done enough to convince manager Mark Warburton to hand him a permanent deal.

Holt now becomes the seventh summer signing for new manager Warburton, who has added Wes Foderingham, James Tavernier, Rob Kiernan, Danny Wilson, Andy Halliday and Martyn Waghorn to his squad ahead of the new season.

Scottish midfielder Holt, who scored five goals in 15 games during a loan spell with Sheffield United last season, will now be expected to contribute goals under Warburton too.

Rangers fans have been reacting to the deal since the announcement, with supporters almost unanimously delighted with Holt's arrival.

Many believe that adding a young Scottish player to the Rangers side is a sensible move from Warburton, with others looking towards other additions in midfield and up front as Warburton moulds his own side at Ibrox.
