Real Madrid have not bid for Arsenal-linked Arturo Vidal - Marotta

The Juventus chief has confirmed that the Spanish giants have not been on contact regarding the Chilean midfielder.

Juventus chief Giuseppe Marotta has stated that the Italian club have not received an offer from Real Madrid for star midfielder Arturo Vidal, as per Goal.

The Chile international has been linked with a move to Arsenal also, as per Corriere della Sera, but the latest speculation in Chilean newspaper La Tercera stated that the Spaniards had won the race for the South American ace.

Despite Vidal’s future still remaining up in the air, Marotta has moved to dispel rumblings that the former Bayer Leverkusen star could be on his way to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

"Vidal? It's just rumours,” Goal report the Bianconeri chief as saying.

“Real Madrid have not come forward. We have a great relationship with them.”

Vidal was a key member of the Chile side that claimed its first-ever Copa America crown this summer on home soil, despite being apprehended on drink-driving charges.

Juventus have allowed Andrea Pirlo to leave the club to move to the MLS, which could well heighten the level of responsibility that the Chilean has in Turin.

Contrasting reports have made headlines throughout European and South American press for the last month, in a saga that looks set to potentially roll on until the transfer window closes.
