Arsenal fans react on Twitter to reports Van Persie could join Fenerbahce

The Gunners faithful have been enjoying the Manchester United striker's recent demise.

After the latest flurry of reports linking Manchester United striker Robin van Persie with a move to Fenerbahce, Sky Bet have suspended betting on the move going ahead.

And, while Robin van Persie's agent has remained coy regarding a possible move to Turkey, that is as close as it gets in terms of a deal looking dead set to go ahead. The news is certainly of interest to Manchester United fans...

But guess who else have had plenty to say on Twitter?

Of course, Arsenal supporters have gone into overdrive in the knowledge Van Persie hasn't lasted all that long at Old Trafford. Despite United fans hitting back on social media and reminding them of the crucial fact the Flying Dutchman has won a Premier League title with the Manchester side, the Arsenal faithful have been keen to express their disapproval of Van Persie's career path since leaving north London.

The 31-year-old, should he leave Manchester United, will likely be remembered for having one good season with the club. Yes, it was a title-winning season, but Arsenal fans feel he could have achieved as much if not more had he stayed with the Gunners.

Here's how supporters reacted to the news their old forward could be heading to Turkey on Twitter...
