Photo: When Liverpool's Roberto Firmino took on Mamadou Sakho

A look at an in-game clash between new Liverpool teammates.

Roberto Firmino signed for Liverpool last week, but is yet to meet up with his new teammates due to Copa America involvement.

Brazil are now out of the competition, and it was playing for them in a friendly back in March that he had his first encounter with defender Mamadou Sakho.

As pictured above, Sakho made a mistimed attempt to win the ball back from Firmino... and the Brazilian left him floundering, see below.

Sakho may have chosen to erase the encounter from his mind, if he has not, training sessions could get interesting when they first go head to head again.

To compound his misery, France lost the game on home soil 3-1, with goals from Oscar, Neymar, and Luis Gustavo.

Firmino became the club's fifth summer signing when he joined from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim last week, and the club's second most expensive of all time, behind only Andy Carroll.
