The former Manchester City defender played his first Celtic game in a friendly on Wednesday night.
Dedryck Boyata is pleased with how his Celtic debut panned out, according to the club’s official Twitter feed.
The 24-year-old played his first game for the Bhoys on Wednesday night – a friendly against Den Bosch. Ronny Deila’s men won 2-0 and several fringe players got to show what they are made of, including the likes of Liam Henderson and Tom Rogic.
Boyata also got to make an impression – for the first time in a Celtic shirt.
And the former Manchester City defender is pleased the Hoops could register a win and perform well.
Meanwhile, the ex-Manchester City man also praised his partnership with Virgil van Dijk – and is eyeing a long-term union with the Dutchman.
That comes despite Van Dijk being heavily linked with a Celtic exit this summer. The defender has been linked with a move to Sunderland by the Chronicle, as well as other clubs by other media outlets – although recent noise has quietened.
Van Dijk therefore looks like he could stay with the Bhoys until the Champions League qualifiers at the very least. And former Manchester City centre-back Boyata wants to play more and more games alongside him.
