Epic Star Wars Battlefront gameplay video revealed

Star Wars Battlefront

First glimpse of Star Wars Battlefront multiplayer mode takes us to Hoth.

E3 is always full of jaw dropping moments and this year is proving to be one of the best yet. We've already seen stunning launches for Doom, Fallout 4 and Kingdom Hearts 3 but that's by no means the end as EA and DICE have proved.

During their conference we were shown a stunning video of Star Wars Battlefront's Co-Op mode. The video takes us to the planet Hoth, recreating the classic Imperial invasion from The Empire Strikes Back. It starts in a fairly typical FPS style, running through the icy tunnels until eventually making it to the surface to face the Imperial enemy, then things get interesting. We see the gameplay from the Imperial side as those players attack the base in AT-AT's Tie-Fighters and on foot. The battle rages and we get to see gameplay from both sides including views from the afore mentioned AT-AT's, Tie Fighters and foot soldiers as well as X-Wings, Speeders and Y-Wings. The Rebel player makes it to a terminal and is told to protect it but then the goosebumps begin. Remembering this is all in game footage one of the players suddenly levitates, clutching his throat, choked by the force. The player turns to see Vader himself. We finally see Luke Skywalker, rushing toward the battle to face Vader himself. Goosebumps only just cover the excitement in this video.

The graphics are stunning and the gameplay looks amazing, if the game is half as good as this in reality then we are all in for a real treat.

Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that this co-op mode will be available for up to 40 players to all take part at once, making for some huge battles.

You can view the E3 video below.

Star Wars Battlefront is scheduled for release on the 17th November 2015 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
