The powerful midfielder is currently playing for Start.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have had their fair share of Norwegian talents down the years and are now being linked with bringing in another. Nettavisen are reporting today that both clubs are currently interested in one day bringing in midfielder Kristoffer Ajer from Norwegian side Start.

The report mentions that Spurs and Liverpool share their interest with AS Roma and Hertha Berlin.

The 17-year-old is a fascinating talent, with plenty of potential to become a world beater. He has already played 24 times for his club and scored five goals. In April he captained the side against Lillestrom, aged just 16 – becoming the youngest ever captain in the Norwegian Tippeligaen’s history.

He may be just 17 but he is already quite an imposing figure. He stands at 6 foot and 5 inches tall, and growing, so is certainly a noticeable force in the heart of midfield when he gets going.

Considered one of the hottest talents to have emerged from Norway in recent years Ajer could seriously go on to be a bigger star than Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard if given the right guidance through his career.

Hopefully that guidance will come in the UK.
