The Italian has impressed at Juve Stabia this season.

Last week it was reported that Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur were in pursuit of talented Italian defender Marco Migliorini.

A report from Tutto Mercato Web claimed that Leeds and Spurs were keen on the player, with an offer of around €1 million. However, it was also reported they were not alone in pursuit of the Juve Stabia central-defender. The same report claimed that newly promoted Carpi were also keen on the player.

Migliorini, who has previously spent time with Como, Torino, Chievo and Czech outfit Brno, joined Stabia in July last year and has played 34 times this season as Juve Stabia finished fourth in their Lega Pro Table.

Now it is believed that both Tottenham and Leeds, who could both use defensive reinforcing, have bith missed out on the player to Carpi.

It is reported by local paper Stabia Channel that a deal for Migliorini to join Carpi, who won Serie B last term, is as good as done and is due to be announced later today.

Leeds have lost Sol Bamba after his loan spell finished whilst Spurs’ defence has been flaky all campaign.

But it seems other targets will need to be considered.
