Reports suggest that Alfred Finnbogason has attracted the attentions of Everton and Norwich City, with Real Sociedad happy to loan him out.

TalkSPORT claims that Everton are keen on signing Alfred Finnbogason from Real Sociedad this summer.

Sociedad want to loan out the 26-year-old to help him regain his confidence and it seems that Goodison Park is a potential home.

Finnbogason was signed for £6 million for the La Liga side, but he has struggled for goals in his first season in Spain and it is thought that he may need to head elsewhere to find his best form again.

Everton are apparently willing to do a deal with Sociedad and they could lodge a bid in the near future.

The Toffees will be hoping that their links with Sociedad boss David Moyes pay off and that the Scot recommends a move to Merseyside.

If Finnbogason does move to Everton he will be likely to be used as back-up, with the Toffees needing another player to take the goal-scoring burden off Romelu Lukaku and provide competition for the 22-year-old.

Everton’s route to signing Finnbogason is not as straightforward as Roberto Martinez might have hoped, though, as Norwich City are also said to be interested.
