HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Millwall have lodged a bid for Bradford City striker James Hanson as they look to bring the giant striker to The Den.
Hanson has been a long-term target for Millwall and they are thought to have considered a move for the 27-year-old in the January transfer window.
Millwall boss Neil Harris is keen to bolster his attacking options this summer as he looks to rebuild his squad in the wake of their relegation from the Championship, and Hanson is thought to be among his top targets.
Bradford would be loath to lose Hanson as the big target man has established himself as a key man at Valley Parade since joining the club from non-league Guisley in 2009.
Hanson has scored 74 goals in 269 appearances and memorably helped the club reach the final of the League Cup final in 2013, as well as promotion to League One in the same season.
Hanson was also instrumental in Bradford's run to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this season, helping the side to famous wins over Chelsea and Sunderland.
