David Gold comments about ‘making money’ - West Ham fans respond

West Ham United could feature in the Europa League next season.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has taken to social networking site Twitter to reiterate that he wants the team to play in the Europa League next season.

England are to be offered a bonus spot in the Europa League by UEFA due to the Premier League's excellent fair play record this campaign.

The Hammers are second in the Fair Play standings behind Liverpool at the moment, which means that they have a good chance of playing in the European competition next season.

Liverpool are already set to feature in the Europa League, which means that Hammers could get that spot.

West Ham are an ambitious club who are determined to play in Europe on a regular basis, and Gold has insisted that his side will take the chance if they get it.

However, in doing so, the Englishman made a remark that many West Ham fans will find interesting.

Gold claimed that “making money is not a sin” in response to a supporter’s accusation that he is trying to make money by playing in the Europa League.

Below are the some of the reactions of the West Ham fans to Gold’s comments.
