If you’re wondering whether The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is worth looking at you should take a look at the review scores list we have here.
This is something a little new we’re trying here at HITC.com, this ‘review round-up for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ thing. Partly because our review won’t be on here for a little while, and also as it will be interesting to see how one of 2015’s biggest games is being received by other critics as they reveal their own reviews pre-release.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due to launch next week, on 19th May, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC – the review embargo was lifted today. The game is the third in the series from developer CD Projekt RED and the final part for this trilogy, ending protagonist Geralt of Rivia’s story.
Wild Hunt cast players as Mr. Rivia while he tries to find Ciri, the Child of Prophecy. Ciri can even be used as a playable character in some parts of the game too.
To give you a taste of whether Wild Hunt is even worth peeking at, GameSpot awarded it a 10 out of 10, with reviewer Kevin VanOrd saying: “make no mistake: this is one of the best role-playing games ever crafted, a titan among giants and the standard-setter for all such games going forward.” So, yeah, he liked it.
Here are some of the main publications that have issued their reviews, along with their scores, so far. We’ll add more as they are published. Click their names to read, or watch, each one:
From the scores already released it’s looking like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is ‘Game of the Year’ material. Our review of probably won’t be live until a week or two after the game’s release, but keep an eye out for it as we’ll be putting as much time as possible into every aspect of the game’s open world.
