Confirmed: Crystal Palace and Manchester United line-ups

Here is how Crystal Palace and Manchester United will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Manchester United take on Crystal Palace this afternoon attempting to avoid a fourth straight league defeat.

That is quite astonishing when you consider how well Louis van Gaal’s side had been playing prior to – and even during – their visit to Chelsea, but defeats against the Blues, Everton and West Bromwich Albion have left their hopes of a top-four finish doubtful.

A win against the Eagles will almost see them over the line, but Alan Pardew’s side have impressed since he took charge and they will want to make a statement.

Palace are currently 12th in the Premier League, with 42 points from 35 matches. They could still finish in the top 10 although a lot o results will have to go their way for that to happen.

But whatever does happen this afternoon between Palace and United, expect it to be a very intriguing encounter that could yet determine van Gaal’s first year in charge.
