Celtic duo react on Twitter to title triumph, messages pour in from ex-players

Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title yet again.

Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title for the fourth season in a row.

The Bhoys were assured of the title triumph with three more rounds of matches remaining on Saturday due to Aberdeen’s defeat.

Victory over Dundee at Celtic Park on Friday meant that Celtic would win the championship if Aberdeen dropped points against Dundee United away from home on Saturday.

And that’s exactly what happened, as Derek McInnes’s side went down 1-0 at Tannadice Park, Robbie Muirhead’s first goal for United in the 13th minute proving to be the difference.

This is the fourth year in a row that Celtic have won the Premiership (previously the Scottish Premier League) title, asserting their dominance on Scottish football.

The triumph means that Ronny Deila has secured the league title and the League Cup in his first season in charge of the Hoops.

Following the confirmation of the success, current and former Celtic players took to social networking site Twitter to have their say.
