Arsenal media round-up: Giroud explains the key to success at Gunners

A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has explained in the Daily Mail what he sees as key for any winning run the club goes on.

Giroud is arguably the club’s most important centre forward and someone who is integral to the success of the team.

He feels the key in terms of the side being successful rests on mental strength and determination.

“I know one thing, in sport you have to question yourself every week and be ready in your head and you have to be at 100 per cent of determination if you want to keep going and win games,” said the Frenchman.

Giroud has also been quoted by ESPN suggesting his team will not change their approach to games.

Chelsea switched up their tactics and played negatively to secure a point last weekend, but Giroud has suggested that Arsenal wouldn’t do the same.

The Gunners are well known for a fast paced and slick passing style of football.

“It's true maybe they are not [playing] the same game as us, but we are not going to change our game,” he said.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Manchester City will ignore Arsenal’s previous statements over Jack Wilshere and move with a £30 million offer for the midfielder.

Arsene Wenger has been clear in the past over Wilshere’s importance to the Arsenal first team, insisting that he’s still part of the plans.

The paper claims that City’s intentions could leave the player at the heart of a tug of war in the summer.
