The Hammers headed into the game at Loftus Road on the back of a 2-0 defeat to defending English champions Manchester City.
Many would have expected them to get the better of relegation-threatened QPR, but they failed to do so and had to settle for a point.
The performance of the West Ham players against QPR was disappointing and left much to be desired.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, the Hammers had 46% of the possession, took eight shots of which only two were on target, and earned six corners.
One West Ham player who did play well was Reece Burke, who was making his Premier League debut at the tender age of 18.
The teenager gave a good account of himself during the 90 minutes, winning all three headers and five out of six tackles he attempted.
Burke was playing against experienced QPR players, but he was not scared to get stuck in and was not intimidated (see picture above).
Another player who was not worried about making things tough for the opposition on the pitch was Rangers midfielder Joey Barton, who played the entire 90 minutes (see picture below).
