Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe in talks to play producer of GTA

The upcoming BBC Films drama about Grand Theft Auto will focus on the conflict between the game and a Miami lawyer.

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe is in talks with the BBC to take on the role of Grand Theft Auto producer Sam Houser, in a feature-length drama about the creation of the huge game franchise.

The TV drama is said to look at the conflict between Grand Theft Auto's creator and Miami lawyer Jack Thompson, who wanted the game to be banned because of its violent content.

Owen Harris, director of Misfits and Black Mirror, is directing the BBC Films drama.

The script for Grand Theft Auto was written by James Wood, who co-created the BBC series Rev. and also co-wrote the TV mini-series Ambassadors.

Nobody has been cast for the role of Jack Thompson yet, and filming is said to begin on 20th April.
