Valencia fans urge Jose Luis Gaya to reject Real Madrid move

Valencia fans have rallied together in an attempt to try and convince Real Madrid linked Jose Luis Gaya to stay with the club.

According to AS, at the end of Saturday's training session, Valencia players went to take photos and sign autographs for the fans who came out to watch, but a particular group of fans had an ulterior motive to just snapping a selfie with their favourite young defender.

A group of fans, upon taking pictures with Jose Luis Gaya, begged for the defender to stay at Valencia and not go to Madrid stating; "Gaya, please don't go to Madrid. Never go to Madrid."

Fans behind them joined in and were more demanding with their request, stating "Don't leave Valencia, man! We treat you very well here."

Gaya faces a difficult decision this summer, as his €18 million release clause is well within Real Madrid's budget, and with Valencia keen to renew his contract to lock the 19-year-old down to a long-term deal, the decision ultimately falls with Gaya and where he wants to take his career.

Real Madrid recently secured the transfer of Porto left-back Danilo and with the arrival of Gaya, their squad could be complete, unless they do manage to land Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea.

Sources such as the Mirror believe that Chelsea and Manchester City are hovering in the hope of luring Gaya, with the Daily Star insisting that Jose Mourinho's side will beat Arsenal to the punch by triggering his release clause first.
