Four Arsenal players' contracts expiring, Mikel Arteta should stay and Abou Diaby should go

Semi Ajayi and Mathieu Flamini are also free agents in the summer.

The season is coming to an end and with the international break clubs have plenty of opportunity at this moment in time to consider who will remain at the club and who will not.

That includes those whose contracts are coming to an end.

Four players at Arsenal become free agents in the summer, so who should stay and who should go?

Abou Diaby - GO

Other than sentiment there is no plausible reason to keep the Frenchman at the club. He is on massive wages and can not stay fit for more than a week.

Time to be brutal and swing the axe on the talented but unfortunate midfielder.

Semi Ajayi - GO

Has recently impressed on trial at Cardiff and is now on loan in Wales. His chances of playing regularly for Arsenal are slim so he should be set free.

Mikel Arteta - STAY

The emergence of Francis Coquelin probably has Arsene Wenger perplexed as what to do with the Spaniard.

But he is a captain figure and still capable on the pitch, they should keep him.

Mathieu Flamini - GO

It seems harsh considering but Arsenal need to bring in a new central midfielder this season. To make room, Flamini should be the one to fall on the sword.

Who knows? He might return again one day.
