The Burkina Faso international is currently on loan with Vitesse Arnhem.
The talented Burkinabe midfielder Bertrand Traore has been on Chelsea's books for a while now although officially he only signed for the club in January. Prior to that the starlet could not receive a work permit for the club - but a pre-contract agreement was found in October 2013 after the 18-year-old had shone during the club's pre-season campaign.
He has been on loan at Vitesse since January and has recently been in top form.
He has scored seven goals this season and has recently been playing in the lone attacking role with aplomb.
Now he has been talking to Dutch source Algemeen Dagblad about his future at Chelsea, insisting he can compete with the current superstars at Stamford Bridge.
According to Voetbal Zone he said: "I'm always ready for Chelsea when needed. I like to take the challenge.
"I can compete with these players [Hazard, Willian, Oscar]. It's all about me and my confidence. I have it.
"I work hard and do and everything to get there."
Chelsea have plenty of young talent out on loan and recently, one player who has been hotly tipped for the future, decided to move away permanently - when Thorgan Hazard agreed a permanent deal with Borussia Monchengladbach.
It shows just how difficult it is for the young players to break through at Chelsea and highlights the challenge that lies ahead for the talented teenager.
However, he seems to think he is up for the job. Time will tell if he can meet his own expectations.
