Nottingham Forest youngster Gary Gardner sends message to his parent club Aston Villa

Nottingham Forest will take on Charlton Athletic in the Championship tonight, while Aston Villa will face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Gary Gardner has wished his parent club Aston Villa the best of luck for tonight’s clash against West Bromwich Albion.

Tim Sherwood’s Villa side will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on the Baggies at Villa Park in the Premier League.

The Villans will head into the game second from bottom in the league table with 22 points from 27 matches, level on points with 17th-placed Queens Park Rangers.

Gardner, who joined Championship outfit Forest from Villa in the January transfer window on loan for the rest of the season, hopes that Sherwood’s team pick up the three points today.

The 22-year-old is also looking forward to Forest’s match against Charlton Athletic at The Valley in the Championship this evening.

Forest are currently ninth in the Championship table with 50 points from 34 matches, 10 points behind sixth-placed Ipswich Town.

Dougie Freedman’s side have picked up 16 points from their last six games and will be determined to register a win at The Valley.
