Denayer came off at half-time during Celtic's 4-0 win over Hamilton Academical but Deila says he was only removed due to cramp.
Kris Commons scored twice for the Bhoys, with Stefan Johansen and John Guidetti also netting for Celtic.
Denayer, meanwhile, was replaced by Adam Matthews at the break but will be 'okay,' according to his manager.

On the game as a whole, Deila said it was tough to return to the Scottish Premiership from the mindset of the Europa League, the competition in which Celtic drew 3-3 with Inter Milan on Thursday night.
But the Norwegian felt the Bhoys coped well against a side who sat back to defend - a situation they have occasionally not fared well in this season.
Deila was also satisfied with the amount of chances his side created in the first half despite not scoring until the second.

Next up for Celtic is the second leg against Inter Milan, to be played in Italy on Thursday night.
