The former Lille man is a deadline day target for the Premier League sides.

West Ham and Sunderland are reportedly planning a move for Galatasaray defender Aurelien Chedjou. The report from Turkish source Net Gazete both Premier League clubs are keen on bringing in the Cameroonian from the Turkish giants before the Transfer Window shuts tomorrow evening.

The former Lille man however is a wanted commodity. It is reported by the same report that Gala are also fighting off the advances of Rennes, Dynamo Kiev and an official bid from French side AS Monaco.

Chedjou joined up with Gala in 2013 and has become a regular in the Turkish club's back line in the past year.

West Ham are sweating over the contract of Winston Reid, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer by The Mirror this weekend.

Meanwhile Sunderland are battling relegation. The club could do with defensive reinforcements, with veterans Wes Brown and John O'Shea currently their leading defensive options and Sebastian Coates in reserve, Sunderland could certainly do with top quality reinforcements.

Chedjou, who has recently returned from a disappointing campaign with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations, has played 22 games this season, scoring two goals for the club.
