The goal put Spurs 1-0 up on the night and 2-0 on aggregate, an important away goal. At the time it went in, it meant Sheffield Wednesday would have to score three without conceding to avoid being knocked out, with away goals coming into effect at the end of extra-time.
A Capital One Cup final against Chelsea awaits Mauricio Pochettino's players and of course the excellent Christian Eriksen.
