West Ham star and former Manchester Untied defender also hailed Tottenham Hotspur playmaker’s wonderstrike.
Christian Eriksen scored an absolutely superb free-kick to give Tottenham a lead away to Sheffield United.
Midway through the first half the Dane curled the ball over the wall, and in off the woodwork, leaving Mark Howard stranded in the opposition goal.
The strike captured the imagination of spectators, and Eriksen’s contemporaries.
Current Tottenham teammates, youngsters Josh Onomah and Alex Pritchard were among those to hail the free-kick, along with former stars Darren Anderton and Jermaine Jenas.
Gary Neville, Michael Owen and Carlton Cole were among the others to comment on the breathtaking strike.

The goal put Spurs 1-0 up on the night and 2-0 on aggregate, an important away goal. At the time it went in, it meant Sheffield Wednesday would have to score three without conceding to avoid being knocked out, with away goals coming into effect at the end of extra-time.
A Capital One Cup final against Chelsea awaits Mauricio Pochettino’s players and of course the excellent Christian Eriksen.
