Rotherham United are said to be keen on taking Crystal Palace defender Jack Hunt on loan by South London Press.
The Millers are in desperate need of additions as they fight the drop and they allegedly believe that Hunt could enhance their squad considerably.
The right-back spent the first half of the campaign at Nottingham Forest, where he was in good form, and he would be an impressive coup for Rotherham if he were to sign.
Forest had been interested in signing Hunt on a permanent transfer earlier in the season, according to the Nottingham Post, but the deal reportedly broke down due to Palace's valuation of the 24-year-old.
It means that Hunt has returned to Selhurst Park but, even after a change of management, it seems that his chances of breaking through at the Eagles are limited and he has been made available for loan again.
Hunt is used to playing football - having made 19 appearances on his prior loan move at Forest - and he will be unhappy to simply sit on the sidelines.
If Hunt does join Rotherham he will team up with Palace teammate Zeki Fryers, who is already on a temporary move to the New York Stadium.
Rotherham are currently one place above the drop zone in the Championship and they will need to improve vastly if they are to avoid a relegation fight.
