Cambridge United hero says Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick 'smells incredible'

Cameron McGeehan has made an interesting Twitter claim about the England midfielder.

Cambridge United pulled off a fantastic result last night, holding mega-rich Manchester United to a 0-0 draw at the Abbey Stadium.

The hard work and determination of the League Two side was absolutely superb and they were good value for their victory.

Meanwhile the United players were poor. The likes of Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao and Daley Blind all struggled, while Michael Carrick really struggled to play his forward passing game.

One reason behind those struggles was the fabulous performance of Cameron McGeehan in the heart of Cambridge's midfield.

McGeehan is on loan at the club from Norwich City. The 19-year-old was playing in just his second game for the club. He scored a double in his first game against Newport County, in a more advanced midfield role, but he sat deep in this game and got stuck in with the top talent in the Manchester United line up.

It would appear, he got very close to Carrick.

As he claimed a rather interesting fact on his Twitter account the day after the game. He claimed:

Hopefully he asked him for his aftershave brand after the fixture was complete.
