Having been banished from Southampton due to a training ground altercation with club captain Jose Fonte, the 29-year-old agreed to move to Inter to start afresh, and his new career path started well. He scored five goals in 12 games, but a public disagreement with Mauro Icardi has further put his future in doubt, and the report mentioned above suggested that Genoa would offer to take him on loan until the end of the season.
However, as of yet no move has been confirmed, and the latest report from La Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted Osvaldo’s absence from Inter’s training ground in past few days, indicating that the former Roma man has been missing for 48 hours.
The story confirms that no one at the club is aware of where he is, and he has failed to report for training or advise anyone on his whereabouts, and this has fuelled further rumours about his impending departure from the San Siro.
Despite a clear message that he intends to leave Inter, the report also suggests that Osvaldo has turned down all the offers presented to him so far, with him only willing to move to a top Italian or Premier League club.
Club president Erick Thohir is set to arrive in Milan in the coming days, with the intention of settling the Osvaldo case, as per the Gazzetta report.
