Arsenal to meet Mattia Destro’s agent, Roma want Tottenham’s Soldado - report are claiming that the Italy international could be off to the Gunners, with the Spurs man a potential replacement.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are being linked with a striking merry-go-round in the Italian media today, with reporting on potential January transfers.

The report claims that Arsenal are set to meet with Mattia Destro’s agent today, while if a deal is concluded Roma are considering looking to Tottenham’s Roberto Soldado as a replacement.

The Italy international scored for Rudi Garcia’s men in the 1-1 draw with Palermo at the weekend but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by with the capital city club this term.

Destro has recently stated to the press that he is concentrating on playing to his best but whether he leaves the Stadio Olimpico this month remains to be seen.

Soldado meanwhile has not lived up to expectations since his big-money move from Valencia last summer, with Harry Kane the White Hart Lane club’s number one option in attack.

The Spanish forward started against Sunderland on Saturday but has limited influence on proceedings before being substituted in the second half.
