PHOTOS: Queens Park Rangers’ worst moments of 2014

With 2015 almost upon us, we take a look at the worst moments of Queens Park Rangers in 2014.

Opening day defeat (August 16, 2014)

Queens Park Rangers headed into their opening game of the Premier League campaign with anticipation, but they had to eat humble pie.

On their return to the English top flight, QPR lost 1-0 to Hull City at Loftus Road, James Chester's second-half header proving to be the difference between the two sides.

Tottenham Hotspur hammering (August 24, 2014)

Winning against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane was not going to be easy, but one suspects that it still hurt the QPR fans to see their players go down without a fight.

Redknapp, a former Spurs manager, saw his Rangers team lose for the second successive week in the Premier League, the 4-0 defeat nothing short of a humiliation.

Adel Taarabt controversy

Adel Taarabt has not exactly had a great time at QPR over the past two or so years, and he was involved in a controversy in October.

Following QPR’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on October 19, manager Redknapp claimed that the attacker is overweight and unfit to play competitive football.

“I can't protect people who don't want to run and train, and are about three stone overweight," said Redknapp. "Taarabt is not injured. He's not fit. He's not fit to play football unfortunately."
