The Celtic skipper was full of praise for the 23-year-old ahead of his side’s weekend clash with Dundee United.

Ahead of Celtic’s SPL clash with Dundee United on Sunday afternoon, captain Scott Brown has heaped praise on James Forrest.

Indeed, Brown feels the Celtic winger is in form and someone you want in your side ‘week in, week out.’

“James Forrest is looking sharp and he was causing St Mirren a lot of problems last weekend,” the Celtic skipper told reporters at a pre-match press conference.

“He brings added pace and he’s scoring as well. We have a big squad but James is one you’d want in your team week in, week out.

“It’s easing off for us a bit. The next couple of weeks it’s just one game a week which allows us to work on things. We are in a good place and we want to continue that.

“Dundee United have had their ups and downs but they have great individual players. We’re looking forward to the game but it’s a hard place to go.”

Celtic go into Sunday’s clash top of the SPL and on an impressive run of victories domestically.
