Predicted Derby County team to play Norwich City: Jordon Ibe to return to the starting XI

Predicted Derby County line-up to play Norwich City on Saturday 20th December 2014 at 12:15. Venue: iPro Stadium, Derby

Derby County will be desperate to bounce back following two consecutive defeats in the past week, but will know that on their day Norwich City are as dangerous as any side in the Championship

Despite the midweek defeat to Chelsea, the Rams came away from the match in high spirits due to the performance they provided and questions they asked of a very, very strong Chelsea side. Although, in the end, it wasn't enough to see them reach the Capital One Cup Semi-Finals.

Norwich City, in contrast, have won their last two matches in the league and now sit just two points outside the play-off positions in seventh place. Therefore, putting a lot of importance on the last match before Christmas for both sides.

Predicted Derby County team to play Norwich City:

Lee Grant

Cyrus Christie, Richard Keogh, Ryan Shotton, Craig Forsyth

Omar Mascarell

Will Hughes, Craig Bryson

Jordon Ibe                                                    Johnny Russell

Chris Martin

Subs: Kelle Roos, Lee Naylor, Paul Coutts, Jamie Ward, Jeff Hendrick, Simon Dawkins, Leon Best.

Analysis: Jake Buxton would have been in the starting line-up had he not been ridiculously sent-off against Chelsea mid-week, but his absence opens the door for Ryan Shotton who returns from suspension himself.

In midfield, there is unlikely to be changes to the trio that started in the centre of the park against Chelsea as they all had good games. Although Jeff Hendrick and Paul Coutts will be chomping at the bit to get game time so all three will have to be at their very best once again.

In attack, Jordon Ibe is likely to get the nod after a very impressive cameo against Chelsea, but, like Hughes and Bryson, will have to be at his very best as Simon Dawkins will be eager to win his place in the side back.

Chris Martin will be one to watch as he goes head-to-head with his former side for the first time since his move to Derby as he will be eager to prove that it was a mistake by Norwich allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
