Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela was back to training on Thursday after the League Cup win against Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur may have won the League Cup quarter-final tie against Newcastle United on Wednesday, but it was all back to normal on Thursday.

Spurs eased past Newcastle 4-0 at White Hart Lane at White Hart Lane to book their place in the semi-finals of the competition.

It was easily Tottenham’s best performance of the season so far, and one which could see them kickstart their campaign and start gaining momentum.

However, manager Mauricio Pochettino was in no mood to take things easy on Thursday, as the Tottenham players started their preparations for Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Burnley at home.

Argentina international winger Erik Lamela, who was an unused substitute against Newcastle, took to social media to post the following photo on Thursday.
